Email Channel Setup

The email channel lets you receive customer emails directly in your Helpium inbox and respond from within the dashboard.

How It Works

Helpium provides a unique forwarding email address for your workspace. You configure your existing email (e.g., support@yourcompany.com) to forward messages to this address, and they appear as conversations in your inbox.

Setting Up Email

  1. Go to Settings → Channels → Email
  2. Click Add Email Channel
  3. Enter your From Email (the address you want replies to come from)
  4. Enter your From Name (the sender name customers see)
  5. Save the channel

Configuring Email Forwarding

After creating the channel, you'll see a unique forwarding address. Set up forwarding in your email provider to send all incoming emails to this address.

Email Verification

Helpium verifies your email configuration. Check the Status indicator in the channel settings to confirm everything is working.

AI-Enabled Responses

Toggle AI Enabled to let the chatbot automatically respond to email conversations using your knowledge base, just like it does with widget conversations.

Removing an Email Channel

Click Delete on the email channel card. This stops forwarding processing but doesn't affect your original email setup.
