Widget Customization

Make the chat widget match your brand. All widget settings are found in Settings → Channels → Widget.

Appearance

  • Primary Color: The main color of the widget button and header. Use a hex color code (e.g., #6366f1)
  • Position: Choose where the widget appears on your website: Bottom Right, Bottom Left, Top Right, or Top Left

Messages

  • Greeting Message: The welcome message customers see when they open the widget (e.g., "Hi there! How can we help?")
  • Offline Message: Shown when no agents are available (e.g., "We're away right now. Leave a message and we'll get back to you!")

Bot Settings

  • Enable Bot: Toggle the AI chatbot on or off. When enabled, the bot answers customer questions using your knowledge base before routing to a human agent
  • Bot Name: The display name for the bot (e.g., "Helpium Bot")
  • Bot Avatar URL: An image URL for the bot's avatar
  • Require Email: When enabled, customers must provide their email before starting a conversation

Widget Key

Your widget key is a unique identifier that authenticates widget requests. If you suspect your key has been compromised, click Regenerate Key to create a new one. Note: you'll need to update the embed code on your website after regenerating.
